Cogent one of the main backbone transit providers for large swaths of the internet went down in NYC today. This affected access to the Helium API for about 60% of our users for roughly 5 minutes. Traffic to the helium api is spread over many transit providers so not everyone was affected. It took roughly 5 minutes for the BGP routes to change and things went back to 100%. We just wanted to let you know we saw it too and that it's better.
